Founded in 1946 in Firminy (Loire) by François and Jean Billard, Billard Engrenages quickly established itself as a key player in gear cutting.
By 1953, the company had developed specific expertise in bevel gear machining, further enhanced in 1967 with the mastery of spiral bevel gear technology. In 1989, Billard moved to Pont-Salomon in Haute-Loire, into a facility better suited to its growing needs. In 1994, the company obtained ISO 9001 certification, ensuring the quality of its processes.
In 1998, the site was expanded by 600 m² to accommodate larger machines. In 2007, to boost productivity and maintain consistent quality, Billard integrated automation into its processes via a numerically controlled loading robot.
In 2009, Billard Engrenages achieved EN9100 certification and entered the demanding aerospace market, demonstrating its ability to meet the highest industry standards.
Today, with 80 years of experience in gear manufacturing, the company continues to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions to the most demanding industrial sectors.
